Synagogue Partners

M’Yad L’Yad - Long Island's Helping Hands' Synagogue Partners recognizes those synagogues which are working together with us to address poverty on Long Island. Our Synagogue Partners have worked with us in one or more ways to help those in need. Some synagogues sponsor M’Yad L’Yad families through their Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Religious School or Social Action Club. Some synagogues have collected toys, clothing or other needed items to provide additional benefit to our families. Some have instituted "drives" or made donations to benefit our Recipients and support our program.

We thank those synagogues which have already joined with us, and we welcome the involvement of other synagogues, temples and chavurot. There is no financial obligation for you to partner with us. All that we request is that you work together with us on one or more projects to support needy people in our community. Conduct a toy drive, distribute our organizational literature, invite your bar/bat mitzvah students to do a tzedakah project - these are just some of the ways that we can work together to help people in need. We welcome the opportunity to work together with your Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Social Action Committee, Youth Group, Religious School, or any other arm of your synagogue.
